The Kosloff Group was founded in 2002 by Shawn Kosloff. Previously, Mr. Kosloff had spent 17 years in the hospitality industry serving as Controller and General Manager for Holiday Inn, Hilton, and Marriott hotels. During his tenure in the hotel industry, Mr. Kosloff became well-known in the hospitality industry for developing spreadsheet and software applications that analyzed productivity, cost controls, room night and revenue forecasting, market analysis, and revenue management. His hotels consistently ranked among the top U.S. performing properties for both customer service, revpar growth, room night and revenue market share, and growth in profitability.
While it was a tough decision to leave the hotel management, forming The Kosloff Group allowed Shawn to spend more time with his new wife and move closer to his family on Hilton Head Island. Of course, moving to Hilton Head meant one more important item - plenty of golf!
It hasn't been a complete departure from the hotel industry. The company still provides hotel revenue management consulting for A.G. Hospitality. Although there are no current plans to expand our role in hotel revenue management consulting, we may consider consulting or managing a small portfolio under the right set of circumstances. Coastal Community Properties will open its doors in the Fall of 2006. We still have a lot of prep work to do before opening, including developing a new web site. This site will also beta test new technologies including software that matches available homes to buyers based upon their personality and community profiles, an online contact management database solution, an online client and cooperative agent feedback system. and much more. Most of the new technology will be wireless so that it can be accessed and updated by a Blackberry or similar PDA.
An additional technology that is under development is a multimedia CD-ROM presentations that is integrated partially integrated with the web site. This allows high quality audio and video to be stored on the CD-ROM while allowing listing information to be updated via the internet.
While we continue to focus on real estate web design and SEO, we have recently been presented the opportunity to develop a large portfolio of nationwide travel, hotel, and real estate portal web sites. Not only we we handle the design and maintenance of the sites, but we will also take on the search engine optimization duties for this portfolio.
